The bass have started their move into the fall patterns. Find the Iron weeds close to deep water and pitch just about anything in there and if you see the weeds start to move and you life your rod and it feels like you are hung up set the hook and pull her up out of there. I like the crawls in the black and blue with a heavy weight to help get you down in the weeds. Try and let me know what you think.

No problem, try Rush creek. north east side, if you are headed south from chandler landing as soon as you turn left to go into rush creek the weed beds on your left or north of captains cove marina. they are also on the north side of 30 on the rocks. THe weeds I mentioned are all over the lake. Not really sure what kind of weeds they are but I am trying to find out. My grandfather always called them iron weeds because they are so tough. Catfish like to spawn inthem in the spring and so do bass.

Pitchin jigs? I love it and cant get enough of it!!! TRy white with a big white trailer pork or plastic. I hate to admit it but I actually got broke off twice the other day. I am now switching all rods over to braided line. The knots are easier and faster to tie, (shoe lace knots work just fine) plus you dont have to worry about that big one getting away and you can also use a line with a lot less diameter. Try pitchin those jigs in all those lay downs and in those root systems of those big ole tree up in the east fork trinity. I would tell you what I catch up there but I dont think most fisherman and women would believe me. Go catchin not fishin OutlawAdventurestx.com

Look for pockets or spots with know weeds in the middle. Just aim at water in the middle of the weed patch. If you see your line twitch or it starts to move off SET THE HOOK. Line watching is a big part of fishing for bass in the grass or weed beds. Fish the entire weed bed then move to the next one. It will pay off.

just fished a bass tournament this weekend on hubbard. Pulled in 8 pounds of keepers, not enough to place me in top 5. Was about to pull them out of the grass. Someone pulled in a 5lber, didnt think those existed in hubbard Rolling Eyes . But it was fun, and a good first experience
