I've tried fishing off the $8 fishing pier twice with no luck, so I'm looking for some alternatives so I don't end up shelling out $8 each time I want to go fishing (gas is eating up $8 to $12 already).

I read on this forum that there are some free fishing piers on Ray Hubbard, but I'm not familiar with the area (driving in from Garland) so I don't know how to get to these piers.

Can anyone help with some directions, intersections or links to an online map of the following piers so a navigationally-challenged newbie like me can easily find them?

1. The Pavillion at the 66 boat ramp
2. City Pier on Miller Road
3. Any other free piers?

After some research, I was able to find the following:

Lakeside Park at C.A. Roan Drive and Miller Road

Community Park at 8500 St. Andrews (doesn't look like a place for fishing from Google's street level photo)

Springfield Park at 5501 Antioch (fishing ponds)
