There are 2 free ramps at I30, Dalrock exit. 1 north of 30, 1 south of 30 in Robertson Park. I prefer the north ramp because it's protected from the, generally, south wind. There's no courtesy dock at either ramp but the north ramp has places to beach a boat. South ramp area is mostly rocky shoreline and will damage your boat with a strong southerly wind.
Most of the sandbass/hybrid action will be south of 30. Best way to find them is look for the" boat show". 3 or more boats in the same area usually means someone has found the fish. You can watch for birds diving into the water, chasing after bait fish. Or look for sandies schooling on the surface. Read thru some of the posts in the sandies section for general areas to fish and what to use in the way of lures
Catfishing can be good off the point at Robertson Park, along the rocky shorelines, or up north in the timbered areas. Some of the more experienced cat guys can give you more info than I can.
Welcome to the forum. Good luck |
