| wrestle1, I don't know RH well enough to advise, but to start with you'll need a boat. The lunkers are caught mostly by boat. |

Don't be decieved by a boat it's helpful but you just have to be in the right place at the right time just find some running water that's the best place for the good ole bigum's   |

Yesterday I went behind my friends house off of dalrock between 66 and 30 and fished a cove for about an hour or two and we caught about 25 catfish, 3 sandies and some sunfish. The catfish ranged from about a 1ft long to french fries. The sandies where about 8 inches and some fairly big sunfish about 6 inches. Almost all were caught off of a small hook and a cut worm. I had a little luck with a rooster tail but the worm was best.
We also tried the park off of miller rd between dalrock and kirby and caught 1 catfish about a 1ft long in about 10 minutes.
All were caught from shore. |

| well the people i know they dont have kids that are married and there not that old bout i think the cove you are talking about is the one my friends have behind them. did it have a dock on the side of it. and did it have a light if you were fishing at night. my friend put the light on it. did it have trees in the middle and was there a back wash to. | the thing to know about catching big fish is to know where, when, and what there diet is. and a boat is not the only way. you can catch them from shore and I prefer it this way. but it is about patients and persistence. read up on the fishes habitat and likely food of choice. ex. flatheads are the most elusive and most sought after species. they live in holes, rocks, and tree stomps. they are nocturnal and prefer live bait. they are also the meanest damned fish you ever fought. blues like deep channel and are aggressive enough to chase schools of shad. but can reside in rivers and deep flowing channels. just look and learn. and good luck |
