If you have never been up the East Fork Trinity River you need to email me or call 469-396-0558. outlawfishingguide@hotmail.com. There are 2 flood gates open so I cant get to the dam but I can show some really awsome places. THe lilly pads are blooming and the birds are everywhere. Bass fishing has been a little slow up the river but I have caught one almost 6lbs and one that went almost 3lbs with in the last week. I love using crawls up there and hildebrandt spinner baits with the #5 colorado blade with black skirt. The snakes are very active so be careful. I will take and show you the spots that I fish and how to get up there. When they close the other two gates the fishing will get better. THe trick is being very quite. I have also caught lots of bowfin up there or grinnel if that is what you want to call those toothy critters that will destroy your spinnerbaits. Remember Outlaw Adventures we go catchin not fishing.outlawadventurestx.com

I was up there last thursday. I took the west side and it was like being in the jungle. I used a road runner but did not have any luck when I first started up the river. Then ,I just cruised up the creek and enjoyed everything.
The current did not look to be too bad but as I got up by the dam, the creek narrowed and the current started getting strong especially around the narrow curves. So I turned around but the current was pushing my boat around.
As I went around a narrow curve in the creek up by the dam, the current pushed me into a low hanging tree and almost into the shore. I pushed off the tree as hard as I could when I hit it and it was just enough to get me out of trouble. The boat got scratched up a bit but it buffed out. In hind site, it was a close call and I should of had my life jacket on as the water was more powerful than I thought.
If you go up that way, be sure to wear a life jacket as one never knows what will happen. I dodged a couple of submerged logs, fallen trees and stumps.
Be careful if you take your boat up there.
Had fun though
Just thought I'd share this experience. |

| Yes it can be very dangerous up there. When there were 12 flood gates open about a month ago I went up to the dam. It was exciting to say the least my girlfriend thought it was the greatest thing ever. I have fished the east fork all of my life both from the bank and from boat. I have caught lots of big fish up there. I always wear my life jacket and make sure the kill switch is hooked up. THat river will take your life if you give it a chance. so did you make it past the high line wires? A little ways past them there is a big lay down my boat high centered on it as I tried to get past it. I would have made it over but I had guest with me and they seemed a little worried. I feel like I have gone to heaven every time I go up there. the www.outlawadventurestx.com Morris Alder |

| I had some guest on Saturday that had the time of their lives!!! Ian, an 11 year old about to start 6th grade caught 5 hybrids over 18" long. Ian was nice enough to let his mother catch a couple as well. The morning trip trip was with a very nice couple from Allen that only had 2 hours to fish. But we were able to catch and release 28 really nice size sand bass in about 45 minutes. We spent the rest of their time on a true OUTLAW ADVENTURE exploring parts of Lake Ray Hubbard that very few even know exist right here in their own back yard!!
