Just thought I'd post something but not much to tell.
I caught about 15 one evenning. I was on my way to a spot and saw a lot of shad jumping around near a shore north of 30 so I turned the engine off and drifted down the shoreline.
I couldn't find my medium sized little cleo so I used my large one. I caught a couple; a 2.5 lb striper and a hybrid.
So I turned around and anchored in a shad active spot and caught about 10 more. I caught another smaller striper, another hybrid, a LMB, some sandies and a small catfish. They were biting on minnows too.
I went back to that spot the following week at the same time but only caught two. Go figure..
Anyone else been catching anything? |

That was a good size fish. Would of made some nice fillets............
I went to Lavon and did some drifting on Sunday but only caught 5 catfish.
I let 'em go too because I did not want to mess with cleaning them. The biggest was almost 4 lbs. I was looking at them before I let them go and my mouth was watering just thinking about how they'd taste all fried up.
They got lucky. |

| I haven't had too much luck night fishing. What time of night do they seem to bite the best? |

| Most of my luck comes from before dark to 2-3 hrs after dark. I am too lazy to go in the a.m. They may bite just as good. |
