My wife and I enjoyed some success this summer (when it wasn’t rainy or windy), but things seem to have slowed down at the places we were fishing. We’re rather new to fishing the lake and brand new to this site We need to know some good spots to catch hybrids, sand bass, and/or black bass. Any ideas?

A guy at BPS told me to go over to the Power Plant area, on the south side of the pennisula that sticks out from the power plant. Between the power plant and a red barn is a good place to fish about 300 yards from the shoreline.
I tried it one day but did not have any luck.
I have a book that shows that the lake record was caught around that area too.
Hope that helps

When I go to a lake that I have never fished, even though I am a guide I always hire aw guide, not to just catch fish but to show me several different places that he visits often. You dont always catch fish on your favorite spots. guides like myself have literally hundreds of places to fish. There is no way to take someone to all of them in one day. When I take someone that is new to the area we cover from one end to the next. I have actually shown clients the dam of Ray Hubbard and about a hour later I showed them the dam of Lake Lavon. I can only go up the river if they have at least 4 flood gates open with 3 open your pushin you luck and I dont do that on the water. OutlawAdventuresTx.com We'll catch you later
