I was just wondering if there are any good humps in LRH like there are in LL???
I just got GPS and was wondering where to look so I could mark some spots.

Where would be the best place to catch good size catfish this time of year?

Thanks

if you are looking at the power plant, the outlet is on the right side of the jeddie and the inlet is on the left side of the jeddie. I think when they made the lake they dug a big trench so that the water would flow to it even if it got way low

THere are several good maps that you can buy. I just completed 5 maps Ray Hubbard being one of them for the Texas Lakes & Bays Atlas from the same people Texas Fish & Game magazine. It will give you exact GPS locations of all the spots I fish on Ray Hubbard, time of year, best bait and rig. My favorite humps on Hubbard are out in front of Yankee Creek I think it's more of a ledge but there is a small hump. It does not take much of a rise to call it a hump so keep that in mind Yankee Creek and Rush creek are really great areas and close to the dam as well. Fish Hook, remember this It's better to go Catchin than Fishin. Thats what the outlawfishingguide@hotmail.com does Smile

Morris.....I have the Texas Lakes & Bays Atlas that I got from BPS for $9.95.
I like the GPS locations that are in the Texas Lakes & Bays Atlas and have been putting them into my H2O that I recently bought. The H2O was used and it had the fishing Hot Spots (HS) map card but all I can tell about the HS fishing map is that it shows creeks, structures, and other below the surface things. It does not show any fishing Hot Spots thru a Way Point or GPS location like the Texas Lakes & Bays Atlas does. In the fishing HS maps, I noticed that there are only a select few lakes that have the detailed underwater info such as RH and Fork but not Lavon or many other lakes so I am thinking that I what is meant by fishing HS.

Since I got everything used (used 2-3 times by a former local fishing guide, Tracey Nix) I am not sure what the HS Map is supposed to look like or if there is supposed to have GPS locations as I am very new to this GPS stuff.
Thanks for the info on the creeks and the rise on the humps. I was thinking a hump was more like a cliff, something with a sharp drop.
.
Feel free to comment on any knowledge you have regarding the above.

Thanks.

Hope you and everyone else is having a Merry Christmas!

The new issue of the Lakes and Bays Atlas comes out in March. Get the new one and you will have exact locations of places I fish on Ray Hubbard.
