The flatties all came from Hubbard. 
Oddly enough the were all caught drifting. Concentrate on old levees and humps.

| shannonnice fish u got there.ive been fishing lrh for five years and never caught a big one ,can u pm me ur tricks and tips so me and my son can get couple of those.by the way i have a tracker boat and lookin for some one to show me how to catch em big ones. |

| When i had a boat I would drift in shallow water or the peanut hump at the end of the power plant jeddie. I would use fresh gizzard shad cut in pieces and a weight just big enough to keep it on the bottom. Other than that it takes alot of time and hours fishing to find the good spots. It also helps to have a good pole and strong line to bring in the good ole bigguns. Slim..How many did ya'll catch and what size? Must of been a bunch to have such sore hands.. It sure was a nice day.
I went to Tawokani with my son and we caught around 10. Had 3 10's, 1 11, and the rest around 3-5 lbs.
The week before I went to Tawokani too. I caught a 26 lb, my new PB.
Still plugggin away on catching the monster cat. We all know it's out there  |

Hi Shannon...How you been? You doing any fishing lately?
Yes, I was in about 2-4 ft of water. While I was catching these, I had to watch some other guys catching 30-50 pound fish about 50 yards away.
I even moved around toward them to a different spot but did not catch the big ones like they did. The best part about it was that I had given them the bait 2 days before as one of the guys net got snagged while we were catching shad. and lost his net. I snagged mine shortly afterwards and lost it too..
They ended up catching about 250 pounds of big fish
It was a good day |
