Thanks GitRdone....That was at T-WOK.
The wind was a beach too! Poles would not hold in the shallows so had to pull out the digger anchor and then use the poles. Not much luck in the shallows so went out to about 24' foot of water. Caught on 2 day old gizzard shad |

| I was out buy the dame on hubbard on saturday and caught a nice 12 pounder but nothing like what you caught. Maybe if your not busy I have a boat slip on hubbard off dalrock where the texas queen is with a new 21 foot bayliner. I know its not a bass boat but enough room maybe we can go out and you can give me some pointers. I have never caught a fish that big. Would appreciate the advice. |

GetRdone...
Sounds good to me. Let me know when. Give me afew days notice so we can get some big gizzard shad. The main secret to catching the big ones is perserverance. You'll probably have to catch a lot of smaller ones brfore you get the huge one. It's taken me 6 months and a lot of time on the water.
12# is a nice fish! Sounds like you are doing good just need to find where they are.
HAving a slip makes it very nice and convenient. I live on the water North of 66. Am in the process of clearing out an area to park the boat on the weekends behind the house. Kinda shallow and lots of stumps back where I live .
Bankfisher..thanks...will definitely frame this one |

Nice going man, that's one nice fish right there. My biggest whisker to date is about 17lbs and that thing was a beast on the gear I was using. I can't imagine what that big ol' fish of yours was like to reel in. |

| Thars a sweet fish F.H. Did it go back to fight another day? I was out in edgewood this week for spring break and caught a few striper and hybrid under the dam at t-wok. It would have been nice to be able to take you up on that seat. Anyways congrats, it will be hard to top that one. |

Yep..I threww her back in so you or your kids could go have a chance to catch her. That kittie was huge and hard to imagine catchin one bigger...but I'm gonna try anyway.
I 'll probably go after the crappie when I get a chance. A guy at work is going to take me out and show me how to catch'em.
Also, looking forward to going after them big stripers...then of course, can't forget about the LMB. Hopefully, by this time next year I'll know how to catch'em all whenever I want.
Do you go out to T-Wok much? |
