| I went out yesterday evening and did good by my standards. I fished 3-4ft water from the bank and ended up catching a 25, 17, and a 2lb. I went off and left the camera at home so all i have as pics are in my phone. All were caught on fresh shad. |

Usually a purple old Nissan truck, but sometimes an old green Toy Land Cruiser.
Same here, I will make space for people. I'm a bit of a space hog with multiple poles, but I will make space for folks no problem. I have no problem fishing over the bullrushes, so I don't need to fish the "open" areas most like to fish. |

| I like to use the large gizzard shad 6-10 inches. I usually cut the head off and hook through the eyes and cast out. It helps if the shad are fresh and never frozen. Freezing them tends to make them mushy when they thaw. That could be why they come off the hook. Try to keep your fresh shad on ice. |

NICE CATCH SHANNON
I went up Rowlett creek on friday but did not catch anything. Did not have real fresh shad as they had been in the freezer for a while. They were whole 6" gizzard shad that I gave belly piercings. Only two bites and it looked like it was from a turtle.
As I was leaving, I saw someone in a shallow spot that looked good. He was fishing in a Lund and had a funny looking hat on.
Shannon, Are you getting your gizzards from rowlett creek? |

| The gizzards that i got were from lavon under the dam when they were letting the water out. Huge suckers, from 10-15 inch |
