Tried a new spot (for me) near where County Line Rd & Troy Rd meet on Sat morning. Wound up with a few channels up to 3 lbs, one 8 lb blue, a yellow bass, and a drum. Had shad I had netted the night before on Lavon and some worms. Caught most on shad. Afraid to toss my net for fresh bait here cause alot of roots in the water..

hey there lou, nice spot you found there. I checked it out on googlemaps.
I need to get to my spot on hubbie down by the dam. been fishin t-wok and lavon so much lately haven't found the time to get over there. With gas prices still rising I just might spend all summer fishing hubbard. Good to hear there biting!! Bet the gar was fun.

What's up Bankfisher! How'd you & jray do?

Anyway Sparky, the place is here:

This is a new housing development called watermark (I think). At the far corner of the mostly undeveloped property, there's a dirt rd leading right down to the water so you can fish right next to your vehicle. There's also a big tree to provide shade. Only enough room out there to cast out about 4 poles.

Yeah Sparky, You can drive slow on the dirt rd down near the tree & water and you should be fine as long as the ground is dry.

You don't wanna be parked down there if it is raining or the dirt rd is wet. In that case park approx 40 yards away on the cement rd.
