Kinda slow on Lavon yesterday. Caught 10 with the biggest being 17# and a 8.5#. The rest were pretty small. Had bites and stayed busy keeping bait on the hooks all day but I guess the hooks were too big. Glad I had a lot of bait. Used fresh shad at 30+ ft. Was using size 7 hooks. The bigger fish were caught on shad heads. The others on filets.
Was real windy so pics not that good. Caught these at the same time. One pic shows an 8.5# with a little dinky blue. The other is the 17#. |
