Anybody been out there lately ? I was just wondering how the ramp is at the moment. I had heard it was a bit shallow moving out from the ramp. any updates ?

Slim: Can a job boat put in there? Or is it too shallow for all boats. Seems like there was an old roadbed out there...

Steve-O, your boat should be fine. I put my X-Press in there weekend before last, no problem other than beaching the boat and having to jump in mud to get to the bank.

Thanks! I was thinking it wouldn't be crowded there if the big boats can't get in. Love Lavon ramps right now. Easy on and off. Have the whole lake to myself. But I need to head to hubbard sometime to see if it really doesn't have any fish. Hear the gar and buffalo are big there!

I launched from there on Friday morning. The guys ahead of me went off the end of the ramp. I went in slow and only backed in the minimum that I needed to and did fine with an 18' deep-v. I bet getting out could be tricky though if there is a lot of water on the ramp. It is VERY steep.

5 foot low.
430.66 as of 10/9/06
Surprised the roadbed shows and ramp is unusable at 5' low. |

I went by the 66 ramp today and got out of the truck. I could be crazy, but it didn't look that much lower than when I launched there in August. Anyone tried it lately?
