I put in at hwy 66 yesterday and they were starting to make another ramp where the old steep one is. The contractor said it should be done by dec. some time. I told him he should check out lake lavon because i hear there are not many ramps accessable there. He said he would check it out.

i asked him if they were going to dredge it, but he was not sure. it is only about 2 ft deep for about 150yds or so. seems like they would if they are going thru the effort to make a new ramp.

i have a 10ft jon with an evinrude junior on it. i just unload it from the back of my truck bed, a real pain in the rump sometimes, but it will get in 2 1/2 ft of water no problems.

I was out there just over a week ago. the new ramp has been completed and they also have a dock for you to tie up your boat just waiting for the weather to change so I can get out and try it the area next to 66 has not been completed . but the new ramp is ready for business with the lake level only down 2 ft. at this time and water still coming in.

Yeah it looks good Ranger. Went out there yesterday. Water was into the cattails, so it looks good to launch?

Lavon in in limbo right now (as far as ramps go) so Hubbard it will be for awhile.

Ranger you know there's a darned good drift norrth of 66 right?

Caught a bunch of big ole blues arounbf there and some really fat flatheads as well.

So the new ramp is operational and the water level is where it's usable?

The old 66 ramp still there, or did they take it out. I need to get over there and check it out.

Steve-O, the old ramp is still there. I would say it's safe for your boat. I'll be looking a little harder at it this weekend.

Good luck.

Oh, the birds wern't roosing between the 2 bridges when I drove over Saturday. I would guess there further north, as in, past the golf course.
