Guys this time of the year is a great time to start looking at the mid lake area for some great crappie action, coves, points, coves, coves, coves, did I mention COVES. We're talking between 66 and 30 for this time of year. I used to keep records on hubbard for 10 + years, recording temps, water temps, sky conditions etc and I can tell you for a fact the next 2-4 weeks are going to be really good fishing in the areas I'm talking about. I can remember one time fishing one of the coves and had 43 keepers in an hour and a half and would have caught more if I didn't have to bait the wifes hook  Steve-O remember the coves I showed you here a while back, well it's time to explore those areas. If the fish are not in the coves, search for them in the mouth of the coves holding next to structure. Don't over look the standing timber close to points and coves as well as river channels. One of my favorite jigs this time of year is tube jigs in a Blk/Hot Pink along with Bk/Chart, Red/White those three colors there are excellent colors. I'm not saying there the only color but those are my go to colors. Minnows don't forget to take a few of them too, you can get them at fishermans supply at 30 and bobtown south side of 30. | well can you give me a better idea of where you are talking about this is my first year to have my boat and i am looking for some descent spots to take my in- laws any help would be appreciated |
